Jeff Glasbrenner

Sport: Wheelchair Basketball & ParaTriathlon
Residence: Little Rock, AR

Jeff Glasbrenner’s opportunity in life came on July 30, 1980 at eight years old. On that day, Jeff was involved in a traumatic farming accident, leaving him a below-the-knee amputee. Most people would call this a tragedy, but Jeff says it was his greatest opportunity. He chose to embrace this unique opportunity and has continually excelled at wheelchair basketball, triathlons, and being a husband and a dedicated father to his two children.

In wheelchair basketball, Jeff holds a National Championship scoring record with 63 points and 27 rebounds in one game. He has played in Europe professionally for three years (Madrid, Spain and Rome, Italy).

Jeff is also an avid triathlete and has competed in both Ironmans and Half-Ironmans. In 2007, Jeff won the physically challenged division at Ironman Wisconsin, placed 3rd at the ITU World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg, Germany and won the Chicago Triathlon in the physically challenged division. Most recently, in 2010 Jeff completed eight Ironman competitions in eight months: St. George, Coeur d’ Arlene, Lake Placid, Louisville, Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona and Mexico.
