Jeremy Lade

Jeremy “Opie” Lade has established himself as the starting point guard for the U.S. Paralympics Men's Wheelchair Basketball National Team. Over the past few years, Lade has led Team USA to multiple international victories.
Lade, who was injured in a car accident in 1989, was introduced to adaptive sports through a summer camp at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UWW) at the age of 13 and has been active in sports ever since.
Lade graduated from University of WI, Whitewater with a major in physical education licensure. He is now the head coach of the UWW men's wheelchair basketball team as well as the director of wheelchair athletics at UWW. Lade led his team to a National Championship title in 2009.

Jeremy works closely with The Hartford, Founding Partner of U.S. Paralympics®, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, helping to positively change public attitudes and perceptions about disability.
