Taylor Lipsett

Sport: Sled Hockey
Residence: Richardson, TX

Taylor Lipsett's introduction to sled hockey came by chance when he ran into the mother-in-law of teammate Lonnie Hannah at a grocery store. A short while later, Lipsett participated in the 2004 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Örsköldsvik, Sweden and helped Team USA win the silver medal. Two years later, Lipsett won a bronze medal with the U.S. at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

After Torino, Lipsett and his teammates refocused their training and made a plan to win gold at the next Paralympic Winter Games in 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. In 2009 at the World Championships, Team USA won the gold medal. With this victory, Lipsett and his team were on track to win the gold in Vancouver. After an amazing performance at the Vancouver Games, Team USA went undefeated to win the gold medal and Lipsett scored the most goals for Team USA during the Paralympic competition.

When he is not playing hockey, Lipsett loves playing the drums, listening to music and driving cars. In 2009, Lipsett graduated with a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. Currently Lipsett is a Mutual Operations Analyst and works for Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
