2010 Paralympic Winter Games

On March 21st, Team U.S.A. had much to celebrate when the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games came to a close in Vancouver. Taking home 13 medals, our team finished an impressive fifth in the overall count. The joy and enthusiasm of every team member—from skiers to hockey players—is another prize, boosted by the support of fans in the stands and online. Sincere thanks to all who got behind the team with their applause and messages of support!

The Paralympic Experience

For two days in Colorado Springs, CO, our business associates eat, work and compete side-by-side with some of the world's greatest athletes in various Paralympic sports, such as: sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball and sled hockey. Our business partners come away with a profound understanding of why The Hartford sponsors U.S. Paralympics and how everyone can achieve greatness.

Ski Spectacular

The Hartford Ski Spectacular, held in Breckenridge, CO, is one of the nation's largest winter sports event for people with disabilities.Skiers of all ages participate, including wounded warriors from Great Britain and Canada as well as the U.S. While it's a competitive sports experience, it's also a therapeutic way to affirm the choice of an active, productive life in the face of physical limitations. We're very proud to be the title sponsor of this event for 18 years and counting.

Golf Tournament

Held in Farmington, Connecticut, the Golf Outing is one of our major fundraisers for U.S. Paralympics. In 2011, the tournament raised $9,475 for U.S. Paralympics. That brings our six-year total to over $120,000.
