"I was able to observe how a business works, what it entails,
and whether or not it is something I would like to be involved
with in the future. I am grateful for my mentor and other
helpful people that were willing to invest their time in order
for me to succeed. I especially valued the Covey 7-Habits
class for its importance, not only in the business world,
but in our everyday lives-including the ropes team building
course! I also liked how we collaborated with Alliance students
from previous years throughout the summer because we were
able to learn from them, firsthand, about college life. I've
enjoyed this experience so much, I hesitate to call it work!
I can't say thank you enough for all I've learned, and for
the people I've met. I remember first coming here to meet
with a financial aid person from Uconn, Trinity or Howard.
I wasn't even sure about going to any of these schools, but
here I am ready to start my college education at Uconn. I
am appreciative of all your help and interest in my future.
