It's what you're not prepared for that can hurt you. The Hartford provides benefits with more foresight, to help your employees in many circumstances. Some highlights:
- An enhanced continuity of coverage clause that prevents employees from being stranded without coverage on our policy transfer date - even if they're not actively at work on that day.
- A generous living benefit option: Terminally Ill employees or dependents can accelerate their benefits, up to $500,000.
- Premium waivers for disabled employees who attempt to return to work.
- A Portability option and conversion is offered with our Life product. If your employees leave your company, or under other qualifying conditions, they can take all or a portion of their coverage with them.

Life Conversations: Giving your employees the final say.
The Hartford offers unique services that help your employees remain secure away from home and make decisions about sensitive end-of-life issues. Like who should inherit their property. And where they'd prefer to have their funeral take place. Giving them power over their lives even when they're most vulnerable. By offering it through The Hartford, you can assure them of reasonable group rates.
Services include:
- Funeral planning and concierge services.1 A suite of online tools to guide employees through key decisions before a loss, including help comparing funeral-related costs. After a loss, this service includes family advocacy and professional negotiation of funeral prices with local providers-often resulting in significant financial savings.
- Estate Guidance®(online will preparation).2 A service that helps employees protect their family's future by creating a customized and legally binding online will. Online support is also available from licensed attorneys, if needed.
- Beneficiary Assist®.3 Compassionate expertise to help employees or their loved ones cope with emotional, financial and legal issues that arise after a loss. Includes unlimited phone contact with professionals, as well as five face-to-face sessions.
- Travel Assistance.4 Pre-trip info that helps travelers get a leg up on their journey. Plus emergency medical assistance and personal help far from home when unexpected detours arise.
- GuidanceResources.5 Helps find solutions to simple and complex life concerns through confidential and professional services as part of the employee assistance program (EAP). Services include but are not limited to expert counselors (grief and family matters) as well as financial and legal consultations.
- Life Conversations – Parent Conversations Option. Employer groups who elect to participate in the Parent Conversation option/program, your employees will be able to use funeral planning and concierge services with their parents and stepparents if they've enrolled in Life Insurance.
