Title: Mother Earth

Artist’s Statement: My spirit figure has children for hair because she is a mother and takes care of the people living on her.

My spirit figure (dahi) is based on the beautiful images cut from handmade "amate" (bark) paper by the Otomi Indians in Mexico.
