Business Continuity Management Planning Workshop
An overview of business continuity management planning that an organization can proactively apply to safeguard its own critical assets and operations. The course is designed to review the elements of an effective business continuity management program. It also offers an opportunity to learn important and logical steps to take when structuring the business continuity strategy and provide techniques and solutions that you can implement to identify and evaluate potential vulnerabilities in an organization.
Supervisory Training Conferences #1 & 2
The Hartford Supervisory Loss Control Program consists of a series of one-hour conferences designed to:
1) Train line and supervisory management;
2) Enhance their ability to recognize and solve operational issues as well as other loss-producing problems, and
3) Reduce operational risk and production costs.
This is accomplished through incident investigation or job study.

This workshop presents an overview of ergonomics principles and demonstrates methods of applying them specifically in the office environment. It prepares participants to present basic ergonomic training to computer users and to perform workstation assessment. Designed for individuals who have interest and authority to recommend and implements ergonomic changes.

This workshop presents an overview of ergonomics principles and demonstrates methods of applying them specifically in the office environment. It prepares participants to present basic ergonomic training to computer users and to perform workstation assessment. Workstations at the facility can be videotaped and analyzed. Designed for individuals or teams who have interest and authority to recommend and implements ergonomic changes.
Our machine safeguarding workshops are tailored to your specific facility, equipment and operators. We begin at an introductory level and go on to the safeguard details necessary for you processes. We will survey your facility to help you determine the significant operational exposures of the production equipment in use. You will be trained in the selection of safeguard strategies and options specific to your machinery. These choices will help preserve production resources (your operators) and meet OSHA's compliance requirements.
Our property approach has always been to understand your operations and the exposures created. This allows us to work toward controlling those exposures without impacting overall operations. Our industry specific technical knowledge allows us to better understand the concerns of your particular industry. Our property experts can assist you with new building construction, additions and modifications, exposure analysis and plan reviews. We also can utilize our staff for training in various aspects of property protection and loss prevention.
3D is Hartford's exclusive training program for teaching driver-trainers to be more effective in their task of training drivers. Using four hours of classroom and four hours of in-vehicle participation, driver trainers are provided with up-to-date teaching tools and philosophies for working with their employees. The driver behavior modification which results from the in-vehicle training is the key to this program's success. Program can accommodate up to eight students at your location, or at The Hartford’s offices.
Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene
This training seminar is designed for the non-industrial hygienist to understand the basics of occupational health exposures in the workplace. Course content will help safety and risk management professionals anticipate, recognize and evaluate chemical and physical hazards in their workplaces. Through instruction, case study exercises, and hands-on opportunities with sampling equipment, participants will gain confidence in their ability to assess these exposures and assure appropriate levels of control. Opportunities to use air sampling devices, indoor air quality instruments, sound level meters, and noise dosimeters (among others) is provided for all participants.
Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene – Account Specific
A variation of the Fundamentals course above, this course is modified to meet the specific industrial hygiene exposures or needs of a specific client. Partnering with safety or risk managers, our staff creates a custom content within the amount of time the client wishes to devote to this training effort. Case studies may be presented that directly represent the operations, materials and methods used by the client. Depending on the desired content and instructional methods desired this course may be shorter or longer than the Fundamentals course and may involve customization and/or development time.
