The Hartford

The Hartford's Junior Fire Marshal program has developed a comprehensive program to help teach fire safety to children. The program includes an educators' guide with suggested lesson plans, activities and worksheets. The educators' kit is designed for students in grades K-3.

Topics include:

• General fire safety information
• Fire hazards and how to avoid them in the home
• Escape plans and how to exit a burning house safely
• What to do if you are on fire
