Most of us are optimistic when it comes to natural disasters for the most part we think that a major disaster just "couldn't happen" to us. But in reality, seventy-five percent of Americans are at risk for some type of natural disaster. It's important to know what disasters are most common in your area.

  • Do some research to find out not only what types of disasters to which your area is most susceptible and also how severe the disasters have been in the past. 
  • Start planning in advance for potential disasters to help minimize loss and damages.
