Jim Davey

Jim Davey is president of The Hartford Mutual Funds. He was appointed to this role in August 2010.

The Hartford Mutual Funds, established in 1996, offers a wide array of broad-mandate and style-focused equity and fixed-income investment options. The firm draws on the investment strength, experience, and expertise of sub-adviser Wellington Management.

The Hartford serves as program manager for 529 college savings plans in West Virginia and Connecticut. Mutual fund assets under management were $84.4 billion as of June 30, 2012.

Davey previously served as executive vice president of the Retirement Division and the Employer Markets Group at The Hartford.

Prior to joining The Hartford, Davey served in various management roles at Merrill Lynch including director of 401(k) alliance management and director of corporate and institutional 401(k) product management, overseeing product profitability and marketing strategy.

Davey is currently serving on the Board of Governors for the Investment Company
Institute (ICI).

Davey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing from King’s College and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
