Recruiting Process
2nd
Year Students
Step 1: On-campus Interviews - The on-campus
interviews are an initial screening of candidates conducted
by a business or HR representative using behavioral-based
interview questions. A selection of candidates will
be recommended to advance to step 2, candidate assessment
and second interviews.
Responses: Students will be contacted within
3 business days if they have been recommended to continue
on in our process. Hiring managers will review the credentials
of recommended candidates and select individuals they
wish to invite to Hartford for second round interviews
and assessment.
Step 2: Second Interviews - Held in our home
office locations of Hartford and/or Simsbury, CT, the
second step in our process consists of two parts and
generally requires an overnight stay. Part One, second
interviews, is a series of interviews (usually 2-4)
hosted by business managers and Human Resources representatives.
Part Two, Candidate Assessment, is an abbreviated version
of the process used to assess all candidates for executive
level positions at The Hartford (see
Assessment FAQ's for
more details).
Responses: Our goal is to have employment offers
out to second year MBA candidates by mid-December. With
limited slots available in our MBA program, it is our
general practice to complete all on-campus interviewing,
assessment, and second round interviews before making
offers.
