FOR REGULAR FULL-TIME & PART-TIME EMPLOYEES:

E-Verify/I-9 Employment Eligibility
On your first day of employment, you will need to complete various new hire forms.  The Hartford processes the I-9 Employment Eligibility Form electronically.  As a Federal Contractor, The Hartford participates in the E-Verify Program. 

Federal regulations require all employees to complete the electronic Form I-9 within three (3) business days from their date of hire. These requirements apply to both new employees as well as former employees being rehired by the company.  Not completing your electronic Form I-9 with the three (3) business days from date of hire will result in suspension and/or termination of employment until the form is completed.

If you will be working from home or remote locations, please contact your Human Resources representative for the location of the nearest Hartford office, or to discuss arrangements for completing your electronic Form I-9 in-person with a Hartford employee.

On your first day you will be expected to bring your acceptable documents to E-Verify.  Here is the list of acceptable documents you can choose from to complete your electronic Form I-9. 

If you would like to confirm your employment eligibility, you can use the E-Verify Self Check Service.  This is an optional service, and does not replace completing the electronic Form I-9 on your first day.

Federal Tax Forms

Beginning on your first day, you will be able to complete your Federal and State tax forms via myHR.
