Policies provide guidance in adherence to required workplace standards, driven by company values. Human Resources policies strive to motivate positive, productive and ethical behavior among employees at all levels of the organization.
Compliance with The Hartford's Human Resources policies is critical to both the fair treatment of employees and the achievement of business goals. As such, the following language is embedded in each policy:
Managers and employees are responsible for adhering to company policy. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
The Hartford is committed to holding all employees to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
The Hartford's Human Resources policies do not constitute a contract of employment for any specific term or duration of employment and do not alter, or in any way change, the employment at-will relationship between The Hartford and its employees.
