The Hartford Named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
The Hartford has been a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index since 2012. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index was launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmarks, the indexes are offered cooperatively by SAM and S&P Dow Jones Indices. The family tracks the stock performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. The indexes serve as benchmarks for investors who integrate sustainability considerations into their portfolios, and provide an effective engagement platform for companies who want to adopt sustainable best practices.

The Hartford Named to Carbon Disclosure Leader Index Five Years in a Row
The Hartford has been recognized by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its leadership on either disclosure or performance every year since 2008. The CDP, which represents 722 institutional investors with $87 trillion in assets, is an international, not-for-profit organization providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information. The index, compiled by PwC on behalf of CDP, provides an evaluation tool for institutional investors and other stakeholders.
