E-Billing for The Hartford ClaimsPanel Counsel submit legal bills electronically through Legal eXchange. The Hartford led early development of legal e-billing, and our system allows simple integration with nearly all time and billing systems used by law firms in the United States. Legal bills are uploaded in standard LEDES (Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard) format. No software is required for use of the web-based and secured system. Electronic billing saves time and resources for your law firm, and facilitates prompt and accurate processing of legal invoices. Payments can be made by EFT to expedite payments. Law firms are encouraged to sign up for electronic billing at the time of the first engagement with The Hartford Claims.
