Joining Panel Counsel

The Hartford's needs for Panel Counsel change over time.  As such, we are interested in learning of firms who would like to work with us and our insureds.  Our goal is to match the right lawyer with the right case.

Please note that we are not currently seeking to expand panel counsel in any particular venue. 

Application Process

The Hartford welcomes inquiries from qualified law firms to be included as Panel Counsel. Panel Counsel selection is an ongoing process; and firms are added to match current needs. Law firms that are approved for Panel Counsel will receive written confirmation and directions related to electronic billing. Immediate opportunities may not exist to be included as Panel Counsel, but applications will be maintained for future consideration.

Questions about the process, including status of a submitted application, can be requested via e-mail. You may also want to communicate with a Regional Manager of Panel Counsel to determine whether there is any current need for panel counsel in your area prior to completing an information request.
