Collectible Cars Get Great Benefits
If you have a collectible vehicle, The Hartford has partnered with American Modern Insurance Group to offer collectible car insurance specifically geared to the needs of auto owners like you.
One of the questions we field most often for this category is, “How do you define a collectible auto?” This distinction includes many types of vehicles such as classic cars, antiques, exotics, custom cars, muscle cars, and even vehicles currently under restoration.
Save on Collectible Car Insurance
Collectible vehicles are eligible for many of the same discounts as "everyday" vehicles. For example, you may be eligible for discounts if you have an anti-theft device in your car, if you take an approved Defensive Driver Course, or if you are a member of a car club.
Availability of discounts and credits may vary by state.
In most states, the amount of coverage provided for a collectible auto is determined using "agreed value" - the amount of coverage that you and The Hartford agree on as the value for the car, based on a recent, certified appraisal or photos of the vehicle.
The following coverages are available (varies by state):
- Bodily Injury Liability
- Property Damage Liability
- Physical Damage to your auto (mandatory for collectible autos)
For an additional premium, you may be able to add the following optional coverages (varies by state):
- Trip Interruption
- Full Glass
- Spare Parts
