Founding Partner of the U.S. Paralympics

In 1994, The Hartford became the first insurance company to begin a long-standing commitment of supporting and sponsoring athletes with physical disabilities. Since then, we’ve gained a renowned industry reputation as the "ability company," focusing on the abilities of people with disabilities. In 2003, we proudly became the Founding Partner of the U.S. Paralympics and its 800 elite athletes. And we’re cheering on the U.S. team as they compete in the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver this March. This year, 650 Paralympians are entering a full roster of competitions, including ice sledge hockey, wheelchair curling, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and biathlon. NASCAR

We've teamed up with as a primary sponsor for three 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. Helmed by driver Clint Bowyer, the No. 33 Chevrolet Impala will feature The Hartford's new paint scheme as a primary sponsor.

We'll also be featured on the No. 33 Chevy as an associate sponsor of RCR for the remainder of the 2009 season. The Hartford will also be an associate sponsor of RCR and driver Jeff Burton's No. 31 Caterpillar Chevy in the Sprint Cup Series.

Basketball Hall of Fame
