Some of these coverages may be broadened by our industry-specific endorsements, others may not be available for all industries or in all states.

What We Offer How You Will Benefit
Accounts Receivable This coverage protects you if you are unable to collect outstanding balances because your account records are lost or damaged due to a covered cause of loss.
Building and Business Personal Property Our policy automatically builds in valuable protections for your buildings and equipment. We also cover damage or loss to telephone equipment, valuable papers, computer equipment and media.
Business Travel Wherever in the world you or your employees travel on business, we'll cover your business property, including your laptop computers. Few insurers offer this kind of worldwide protection for your valuable property.
Computer Fraud This coverage helps protect you if someone steals your money, securities or other property "electronically" through the computer.
Computers and Media Not only does our policy include this in our definition of covered property, we offer a large, flexible limit so you can tailor your policy to fit your needs. Protects your investment in computer technology by reimbursing you for:
  • Physical loss or damage to your computer hardware;
  • Loss of data or computer software;
  • Damage caused by computer virus.
Electronic Vandalism As part of its property coverage, The Hartford goes far beyond the competition to cover damage to computer equipment, media, data, and software resulting from electronic vandalism originating anywhere in the world. So should a hacker or a cracker sabotage your computer system, coverage is included in the limit of insurance for the affected property.
Equipment Breakdown This coverage pays for the cost to repair or replace certain damaged equipment that's vital to your business, including your computer systems, phone systems, air conditioners and boilers.
Exhibits/Samples This coverage protects business personal property while it's on temporary public display or being used at fairs, exhibitions or trade shows, including while it's in transit to and from these locations.
Inflation Guard If a covered cause of a loss damages your buildings or business personal property, we will adjust your loss to account for the impact of inflation for the months from the start of your policy to the date of the loss.
One Additional Limit for Multiple Coverages The Hartford includes up to $250,000 in additional coverage that would apply to any combination of the 10 coverages included in Buildings and Personal Property.
Property in Transit This coverage protects your business personal property if a covered loss or damage occurs during shipment.
Property of Others in Your Control Our coverage extends to other people's property you may have in house, like custom artwork, building plans, photographs, etc., while on loan to you.
Replacement Cost This provision covers the cost to replace building and content items at their replacement cost value without deduction for depreciation, in the event of damage by a covered loss.
Tenant Obligations As a tenant, you may have to pay for certain building damage caused by a break-in, damage to building glass, and lease assessments. If so, our policy can cover these financial responsibilities.
Unnamed Premises This coverage will reimburse you for loss or damage to your property (including stock) while being stored, serviced, repaired or installed away from your premises.
Valuable Papers and Records This coverage protects you if you incur costs to research, replace or restore valuable papers and records used in your business, such as architectural drawings, prototypes, manufacturing schematics, etc,. if they are damaged due to a covered cause of loss.
