Business Insurance
Commercial Auto
Not only does The Hartford provide core commercial auto coverages that every business needs, we also offer a package of additional coverage to supplement our standard policy. Some of these coverages may not be available for all industries or in all states.
Commercial Auto
| What We Offer | How You Will Benefit |
| Airbag Coverage | Covers resetting or replacing an airbag that inflates even though the vehicle incurs no physical damage. |
| Amended Fellow Employee Exclusion | Provides coverage if an employee causes an accident and injures another employee passenger while driving your owned vehicle. This coverage: (1) is in excess of other collectible coverage; and (2) applies only if you also have Workers' Compensation insurance in force for all employees. |
| Autos Rented by Employees | Provides coverage for employees who rent autos on your behalf, but in their own name. |
| Broad Form Named Insured | Provides automatic coverage for:
|
| Extra Expense-Broadened Coverage | Covers the expense of returning your stolen vehicle to you. |
| Glass Repair | Waives the deductible if damaged glass is repaired instead of replaced. |
| Hired Auto Physical Damage | Automatically provides for physical damage coverage to any vehicles your business hires or borrows, as long as you have liability coverage on those you hire and physical damage on those you own. |
| Lease Gap Coverage | Many other insurers charge extra for this valuable protection. But as long as you elect our physical damage option, The Hartford can pay the outstanding balance of a lease–if your car is totaled in an accident and the remaining lease exceeds the car's actual cash value. |
| Sound Receiving and Transmitting Equipment | Covers permanently installed sound receiving or transmitting equipment. |
| Unintentional Failure to Disclose Hazards | Covers injuries that result from a hazard you unintentionally failed to disclose to us when applying for business insurance. |
| Waiver of Subrogation | Eliminates the need to separately endorse your policy when "waiver of subrogation" language is requested in a written contract. |
