Claim Management
Team-Work
When an injured employee is laid up, you know that productivity falls and costs rise. Fortunately, The Hartford can help you manage the situation with Team-Work, a return-to-work program designed to benefit all involved.
The principle behind Team-Work is that most injured workers can perform some work while recovering from an injury. Team-Work helps them transition back to productive lives while helping you efficiently run your organization. This process involves the injured staff member or employee, the supervisor, a nurse, a workers' compensation claim rep, a loss control expert, and a medical provider. Using the capabilities below, they all work together to make an early return possible.
- Immediate reporting so employees and supervisors are trained to seek help for workplace injuries right away.
- Return-to-work philosophy that focuses on managing abilities, not disabilities.
- Medical management; for example, a nurse care manager monitors progress; a doctor works to match the employee's physical abilities with available work.
- Post-injury review conducted by professionals to examine the conditions leading up to the workplace injury and address them.
