Helping People Tackle Their Financial Challenges
To help people make wise financial decisions, The Hartford's team of financial professionals has released a broad range of programs, studies and surveys on topics such as financial basics for college students, estate planning, financial planning for children with special needs, and the impact of obesity on retirement preparedness.

Playbook for Life
Adjusting to life's responsibilities can be a challenge. That's why we've teamed with the NCAA® to help college students make the transition into the "real world." The Hartford's Playbook for Life financial literacy program shows students how to manage credit, savings, investments and insurance to help them get on solid financial footing after graduation.

Retirement Research
In collaboration with MIT's AgeLab, The Hartford's Advance 50 Team consists of financial professionals and aging specialists committed to understanding the needs of customers as they grow older. This team of gerontologists works across the business lines to help develop industry-leading programs and services for older adults. Learn about gender differences in retirement planning, retirement concerns from around the globe and how couples can better plan for their later years.

Special Needs Planning
If you're the parent of a special needs child, you know the joys and the challenges that are faced every day. And you know the worry of one day not being there to provide or manage care. The Hartford's financial professionals can help you develop an effective strategy to care for loved ones far into the future.

Coping with the Loss of a Loved One
The loss of a family member can be overwhelming.  The Hartford's step-by-step guide is designed to help you handle the many unfamiliar financial issues you may have to face.

Disaster Planning
As a trusted provider of homeowners and small business insurance, we know it's essential to prepare with family, friends and neighbors before a disaster hits home. But, with our busy lives, there never seems to find the time. Our guide, It Could Happen to Me, can help. It will take you through the ins and outs of disaster planning, like reducing property damage, lessening the stress of recovery and rebuilding and decreasing the time it takes to get your life back on track.
