Staffing Agency Management Program

Occassionally, The Hartford will seek to partner with highly qualified contingency and retained search firms and recruitment agencies to assist us in our staffing needs and identifying top talent within the marketplace.  To achieve this end, the Hartford has created a Staffing Agency Management Program.

The Staffing Agency Management Program is comprised of numerous firms across all disciplines within The Hartford.  Disciplines include but are not limited to:  Actuarial, Accounting & Finance, Claims, Human Resources, Sales, Underwriting, etc.

The scope of the program is on a National level, however, we also consider firms in some disciplines on a local, regional and international level.  This program encompasses all lines of business within The Hartford including Hartford Life, Property & Casualty, Corporate and subsidiary entities.

Firms are evaluated annually in each of the following areas:

  • Knowledge of Industry
  • Understanding of Requirements
  • Quality and Diversity of Candidates
  • Responsiveness
  • Value Proposition of Firm
  • Ethics/Integrity


Some of the highlights of The Hartford's Staffing Agency Management program contract include:

  • Single Point of Contact
  • Standardized Fees
  • Non-solicitation of Hartford employees
  • Annual performance evaluation


The Hartford does not accept any non-solicitation of candidates from firms that are not a part of our selected vendors list.
