Senior Vice President, Specialty Commercial
Ross Fisher is head of The Hartford's Specialty Commercial Businesses where he is responsible for underwriting, product, service, and sales of complex risk products to companies of all sizes. Specialty Commercial is comprised of National Accounts Casualty, Captives, Bond and Financial Products businesses, as well as the TPA Services and Credit Risk Analysis Units. His focus is on making strategic, data-driven decisions in order to grow The Hartford's Specialty portfolio and make the company a broader, deeper risk player.
Prior to his current role, Fisher served as head of The Hartford's Bond and Construction Insurance businesses. He is a 27-year veteran of the insurance industry having worked in underwriting leadership and management positions for various carriers before joining The Hartford in 2003. Fisher graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in finance from Franklin University and earned an MBA with Distinction from Capital University. He is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Surety and Fidelity Association of America, serves on the Board of Directors for the Surety Information Office, and is a member of The Hartford's Investment and Savings Plan Investment Committee.
