Work With a Benefits Technology Change Leader

Benefits Technology

Our Most Flexible Solutions – Integrated With Your Clients' Benefits Platform

With today’s benefits landscape constantly changing, we understand carriers and benefits agencies must continue to partner in new and innovative ways.
In order to deliver the customized benefits solutions employers and their employees require, we’ve successfully integrated with key benefit partners and are committed to expansion. Our comprehensive technology strategy creates opportunities for a growing range of partnerships, including private exchanges and benefits technology vendors.
We’re making it even easier to partner with us by delivering the most valuable elements – our people, products and capabilities – directly to you and your clients. By taking a customized and flexible approach to each integration partnership, we complement the capabilities and functionality of our vendor partners.
The Hartford’s dedicated team of professionals have access to essential resources across the Group Benefits organization, ensuring that our full range of products and services deliver an unparalleled end-to-end customer experience through these platforms.
At The Hartford, we're passionate about what we do. It's why we originated the Ability Philosophy – the belief that focusing on people's abilities, and not their perceived limitations, can help them return to active, productive lives, following an illness or injury.
Our passion is matched only by an unwavering commitment to transforming the way customers experience the investments The Hartford is making in technology, products and service.
Here's that transformation in action:
  • Leading Group Disability Life insurer1
  • Protecting over 20 million people2
  • 95% of disability claimants reported being treated with compassion3
  • 95% of respondents found their experience clear and easy to understand4
  • Nine in 10 employers are likely to renew their benefits with The Hartford5
  • 94% or better customer satisfaction rate nine years running6
Since 2014 we’ve successfully engaged and established connections with a number of private exchanges. For more than 10 years we have integrated claims and billing with various Third Party Administrators (TPAs).
We are able to integrate with most enrollment platforms and TPAs with various levels of file integrations. In addition, we have the flexibility to accept data in a variety of formats (subject to The Hartford’s requirements) to drive service automation, including a single file for multiple products as well as multiple feeds from different sources via The Hartford's standard file layout. The data received can be used to manage:
  • Eligibility
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) for real-time EOI decisions
  • Telephonic Life claim intake
  • Leave Management Services
  • Portability & Conversion Administration
  • Consolidated Billing, List Billing or Self-Administered Billing (SAB)
