Valuable Items Blanket

Valuable Items Blanket Coverage: Gain Extra Protection

Valuable Items Blanket Coverage is an additional coverage that can be added to your policy with The AARP® Home Insurance Program from The Hartford. This provides extra coverage for your most valuable items such as jewelry, furs, silverware, china and crystal. While your homeowner’s policy caps coverage for theft on jewelry up to a $1,500 limit and silverware up to a $2,500 limit, the Valuable Items Blanket Coverage can increase the limit to $10,000 per item and extends coverage for lost or damaged valuables as well.

Why Is the Valuable Items Blanket Beneficial?

Besides the extra coverage, the best part is you don’t have to pay a deductible if you have a covered loss. While proof of loss is required, appraisals aren’t needed to insure your valuables. So imagine, you’re washing your dishes and your diamond ring falls into the garbage disposal. With the Valuable Items Blanket Coverage, we’ll repair or replace your ring.* Have something that’s worth more than $10,000? We have other endorsements that allow you to schedule your items so they can also be fully covered. An appraisal may be required.

Valuable Items Blanket Coverage provides extra protection and peace of mind, knowing that you are prepared for the unexpected.

* Coverage is subject to terms of policy and circumstances of loss/claim.
