Determine Your Value Proposition

Your unique value proposition describes your company, your products and services, and how you and your offerings are positioned in the marketplace. It also defines your target market(s), ideally including demographic information such as age, gender and household income.

An example of a value proposition might be "We are the brand of choice for high-energy, achievement-oriented males who are looking for a pulse-pounding experience in a genuine auto-racing environment."

The value proposition should also identify your top competitors and describe how those competitors position themselves against their own target markets. The intent here is to identify and scope out a market “niche” for yourself. This would be a slice of the market that no one else owns, or that no one else addresses as effectively as your company.
