You have made an important decision to work at The Hartford, so we want to make sure you have a positive experience. Here is a general idea of what to expect on your first day, along with some basic information to help you prepare.
Complete Onboarding Tasks Timely
You will receive important information and tasks to complete as you onboard, so be sure to carve out dedicated time to finish these items timely.
Some tasks are critical for you to complete no later than 3 business days after your start date, like the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. For additional support on when and how to complete this process, refer to the FAQs.
Gather your banking information ahead of time and have it available for the direct deposit option.
Your Security Badge
Complete the Workday onboarding task "Submit My Photo" and email your picture to Corporate Security. Your security badge is essential to access The Hartford's network through your laptop, and is required for building access.
It's the responsibility of all employees, vendors or visitors to carry and display security badges while on property of The Hartford. Please read the Facility Access and Security Policy (Visitor Policy) for more information.
Arrive to Your New Job
Because work hours can vary by location and role, please refer to your offer letter for details. Contact your HR representative or manager for specifics on how or where you'll meet up on your first day. This may include parking or building information, as needed.
