With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Andria Gatewood has built a career spanning underwriting, sales, agency partnership, education, and talent development. As a former Executive Underwriter and learning consultant, she is known for combining technical expertise with a practical business mindset and a passion for helping others grow.
"My goal is to help learners think beyond coverage forms. When people understand the intent behind a policy and can connect it to a client's real-world needs, they become trusted advisors who build stronger relationships, win more business, and deliver better outcomes for their clients."
Today, as Director of Training and Development with Hartford School of Insurance, Andria delivers Property & Casualty education to agents, producers, and account managers. She is known for helping people feel capable in subjects that initially intimidate them, bringing energy, curiosity, and real-world perspective to the classroom while helping learners build confidence, sharpen judgement, and connect technical knowledge to meaningful client conversations. Outside of work, Andria enjoys traveling, people-watching, and getting lost in a great movie.
