Meet HSI Instructor David Lloyd
David Lloyd teaches both our in-person and virtual Property and Casualty Programs at Hartford School of Insurance.
David brings nearly 30 years of field underwriting and leadership experience to Hartford School of Insurance. Over his career, he has underwritten Technology, Excess Casualty, Financial Institution, and Middle Market P&C business. He was a field underwriting manager for a national carrier in Pennsylvania and has also managed a unit that underwrote Workers Compensation Captives. He was a frequent recipient of Sales and Underwriting Excellence awards and was instrumental in facilitating growth with his agent partners.
David served in the US Army as a Nuclear Weapons technician. After his military service, he studied at a state college in Pennsylvania and holds degrees in International Business and German. David resides in Lancaster County, PA with his wife where he’s an active community volunteer principally engaged in teaching and mentoring youth.
In his HSI role, David combines his personal passion for teaching with his insurance proficiency and is eager to help the next generation of professionals
