Towing Insurance Coverage

What is Towing & Labor Insurance Coverage

Towing & labor insurance coverage helps pay the cost to tow your insured vehicle when it is inoperable, whether or not an accident is involved. The availability of towing coverage varies by state. Also, you must have comprehensive auto coverage on your vehicle before you can get towing & labor insurance.

How Towing Insurance Coverage Works

If your car breaks down on the side of the road, towing insurance pays for your vehicle to be towed to the nearest point of service. Towing insurance also covers the labor required to get your car back up and running. It does not, however, cover the cost of the parts that may be needed to perform the repairs – it only covers the labor costs.

Towing insurance can be extremely helpful if your car ever gets stuck somewhere – but it may not be necessary if you already have protection through a separate roadside assistance membership.
