By agreeing to these terms and conditions, on behalf of (i) you, and (ii) any other person, organization or entity you are authorized to act on behalf of (hereinafter “you”); you are consenting to electronically receive from The Hartford,1 its affiliated companies and/or third party service providers (collectively the “Company”), either directly or through your agent/broker, documents and official notices that the Company is required by law to provide to you in writing, as well as other important information about a policy you may have now or in the future with the Company. You agree that these paperless communications are the legal equivalent of officially required communications relating to your policy which you would otherwise receive in paper form. To the extent permitted by law, these communications may include policy declarations, policy forms and endorsements, cancellation or nonrenewal notices, insurance ID cards, billing statements, legally required notices, and other official correspondence as these communications become available for electronic delivery. YOU AGREE TO RECEIVE ALL MAILINGS AND COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICALLY. SUCH ELECTRONIC MAILING OR COMMUNICATIONS MAY EVEN INCLUDE CANCELLATION OR NONRENEWAL NOTICES. You agree that your consent to receive mailings and communications electronically applies to all policies that the Company may issue to you and remains in effect after a policy modification or renewal.

You will receive an email advising you when communications are available on the Portal. Your rights may be dependent on when you receive communications from the Company. You agree and understand that you are deemed to have received communications when the Company notifies you at your email address alerting you that communications are available at the Portal.

Not all documents are currently available for electronic delivery. Those that are not available for electronic delivery, including cancellation and non-renewal notices, will continue to be sent to you in paper format. As new documents become available for electronic delivery, the Company or your agent/broker may send them electronically.

2. You may at any time, request that the Company and/or your agent/broker resume communications through the delivery of paper documents. No fee will be charged for this request. Such request may be made by contacting our Call Center or by visiting Contact Us to obtain the correct contact information. Such request to withdraw consent to receive communications by electronic means will typically be effective during the policy term.

3. You agree to provide us and/or your agent/broker with a current email address so that (i) policy documents may be sent to you via email or (ii) you may be notified that such documents are available at the Portal for your review. You also agree to update your account and notify us of any change in email addresses. You can make such a change by contacting our Call Center or by visiting Contact Us to obtain the correct contact information. You agree to be responsible for the consequences of your failure to provide us and/or your agent/broker with current email addresses, such as late fees or as otherwise provided by law.
