At The Hartford, we offer a single combined clinical intake and handler model so that Short-term Disability (STD) and leave requests are handled at the same time. We integrate all follow-up correspondence, which helps provide employees with clear communications and a less stressful claim experience.
 
Our Enhanced Claims Pathways Model automatically prioritizes claims based on diagnosis and/or CPT codes. It assigns claims to the appropriate Ability Analyst for intervention and case management. This approach allows The Hartford to put a special focus on claimants that have transferable skills and opportunities to get back to work sooner.
